The day started with lunch/late breakfast at……………. BESS BISTRO- for Billie Boi! Great food as always. George and I have been there three times and every time is perfect.
We explored the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum on the UT campus. What a great place! We didn’t think we would be too long but we ended up spending 2.5 hours there! And that’s only three floors opened for visitors with no gift shop!
Posing with our ladies-
This library had great exhibits. We learned so much about Johnson and the years he lived and presided.

We all fell in love with Lady Bird Johnson (Claudia Alta Taylor). She kept a daily diary to be able to record the life of a first lady. She did wonderful philanthropic work. She was an UT alumnus and founder of the Wildflower Center in Austin- a super lady. Her nickname Bird was given to her by her nanny.
